Site Layout
New Town is the operating base that informs how Cicada runs every facility in its network. Dual loop tracks, unit train sand unloading, rapid crude loading, and 270,000 barrels of crude storage enable efficient multi-commodity logistics for crude oil, frac sand, NGLs, and LPGs — with capacity for pipe, grain, heavy oil, and chemicals.
Frac Sand Transloading & Storage
1. Four frac sand storage silos with high-speed loadout totaling 8,000 tons.
2. Flat storage totaling 20,000 tons with high-speed loadout and sub-24-hour turnarounds, including two truck load-outs.
3. Eight ladder tracks totaling 16,000 ft.
Loop Tracks
4. Two 8,500-foot loop tracks (inner: 120-car unit train of liquids; outer: 140-car unit train of sand).
Liquids Transloading & Storage
5. Ten truck offloading and ten rail loading stations.
6. Three 90,000-barrel crude oil storage tanks.
7. Two inbound crude gathering pipeline connections.
8. Additional track for bad orders.
Industrial Yard Space
9. 65-acre industrial yard space.
Sand Transloading & Storage
Four frac sand storage silos with high-speed loadout totaling 8,000 tons. Flat storage totaling 20,000 tons with high-speed loadout and sub-24-hour turnarounds, including two truck load-outs. Eight ladder tracks totaling 16,000 ft for staging and switching.
Liquids Transloading & Storage
Ten truck offloading and ten rail loading stations with comprehensive liquid handling capability. Three 90,000-barrel crude oil storage tanks — 270,000 barrels total storage. Two inbound crude gathering pipeline connections. Additional track for bad orders.
